I recently had the blessing to attend the Utah Draper Temple open house (more on that later) and on the shuttle up my ward was all packed on to the bus with many people standing. My bishop had brought his family along with him and they were among the standing. So me and Bairett ( a girl in my ward) offered to have the kids sit on our lap. So they happily accepted. On the short drive up I got the chance to talk to Kyler age 6. We talked about kindergarten and how excited he was to go to the temple. It was a sweet experience that made me miss my little brothers and cousins. I love them so much and being away I feel like they grow ten inches more every time I come home and visit. They are the sweetest! Car and Hunt you guys make my world a little brighter by being my two fav little brothers I love you guys.

It's a Miricle!!
"Senior Year our wonderful school district decided that zero hour classes were the way to go but their genius didn't stop there they continued on their wonderful path and made all the advanced music classes be zero hour classes. This meant that my Valhalla Vox or classically known swing choir would be held at 6:30 in the morning. I don't exactly know the studies but I am pretty sure that singing at 6:30 in the morning is both unhealthy and completely crazy mostly crazy. But next to that was the wondrous blessing of having zero hour seminary 530 in the MORNING!!! ha ha how I ever survived is still a mystery to me. Well I know one thing that made it better. My dad. He would wake me up at 530 (when seminary started) I'd roll out of bed grab my books and homework for the day and run down stairs in some form of sweats or pj's getting dressed that early was over rated. I would get ready at school after my real first period PE. Anyways back to rolling out of bed I would walk down stairs through the kitchen and to the cold garage throw my sports bag and backpack into the backseat of my Honda and then run back inside to pack a lunch. Now I haven't even gotten to the part that made it bearable. Usually every morning on the counter next to my sandwich (consisting of white bread, strawberry jam and crunchy peanut butter) and a whole apple always crispy and delicious... well yes next to those wonderful delights was a hot mug filled with either cream of wheat, oat meal, or if I was really lucky cracked wheat. Next to the mug was my dad giving me an encouraging hug kiss on the for head and calling to me as I ran out of the door "to make it a great day" and "remember who I was". I loved that mug filled with goodness as I would hold it in my lap in my freezing car it warmed my day and always started it off great. I don't think I could have survived zero hour seminary without my dad's breakfast to go."
Now flash back to present day I am in the cougar eat my stomach hungry for some breakfast and instead of the usual donut or muffin from the bakery I decided to try a different station hoping to grab some hash browns and eggs. well I got the the counter and saw that there was cracked wheat on the menu. My heart stopped and I thought my eyes were fouling me. I had to re-read the menu and then in high hopes questioned the lady whose name tag read Julie if it was really true that they served cracked wheat?!!! She happily replied yes ma'am so I said well I have to have bowel of that. So I walked happily to my Book of Mormon class with a warm bowel of cracked wheat in my hands and the words of my daddy playing over in my mind "make it a great day" and "remember who you are". It was a miracle morning!

slippery slopes
story#1 So It was the middle of my second day of classes I was walking back to my dorm room to watch the Tuesday devo after my book of Mormon class so i was feeling very uplifted and somewhat joyous I had even forgotten my hatred for how cold it was outside. So I get to the top of freshman hill it looked particularly slippery at this time so I decided to walk on the white snow on the sides of the path because that was not packed down and slippery yet. I took on step over to the side and..... pew!!! crash!!! smack!!! I fell directly on my backside. It was like a perfect movie fall. I had my phone out and in my hand and as I fell it flew out of my hand and in the the snow about two or so feet away from me. So right after I fell not only was I covered in snow from my waste down but I had to hunt through all the powder about a foot of it to find my phone that had sunk to the bottom of the snow. Like five minutes later I found my phone dusted my self off best I could and continued walking to my dorm with my pride completely crushed and my lower half all wet.
story#2 so this is where the second story comes in. I made it down the bottom of the hill after my horrendous fall and was about ten feet from my dorm when I stepped on a sheet of black ice and again plop right on my behind!!! Thinking that I was all alone I let out a desperate groan! right then a boy I knew from my summer walked by and asked in a very concerned voice if I was OK. I replied yes and picked up my bruised bum of the sidewalk and then walked shamefully back to my room. At this time I was completely soaked and had to change my outfit and then slipped int the family room (our hall's lobby or TV room) and watched the rest of the devotional.
story#3 So all in the same day I went to tap dance and then walked to the bookstore to by the book for that class. and on my way home I was getting to the cross walk and just as I was almost there stepped on another slippery spot but thankfully this time someone was behind me. Some stranger girl who caught me. I gratefully said thank you so much for saving me from my third fall of the day! I hope I can do that for someone else sometime. I'll keep my eyes out for the people slipping all around me and maybe next time I'll
catch them.
1. I saw a man walking with a stroller. I think that I would like that like something to lean on. I don't think I would love to have the baby that comes along with that but the stroller maybe I could push my books or laptop around in it.
3. The perpetual buddy system. If you fall your friend goes down with you... at least you'll have someone to laugh or cry with just depends.

Thought this was funny I typed buddy system into google image and these were the first two that came up.
